Since I was a child I had a particular interest in toys. I often remember that my favorites were my Star Wars Action-figures and my Model Airplanes (P-51-D Mustang, Fock-wulf 190D-9 Dora and the Musserschmitt BF 104 F-4).

As I grow up these influences awakened a passion and I found myself trying, by all means, to recreate these things on paper.

When I was 12 my father and oldest brother founded a company that produced religious images and statues, which gave me the opportunity to experience the process of creation, production and paintings of a religious statue.

When I finished high school I had the opportunity to study in the design school in my country (Venezuela) Instituto de Diseño de Caracas. It was there where i become an ilustrator.

This took place when I had developed one of the most difficult projects in the school (a 3D illustrated alphabet).

After that experience I constantly experiment with material such as wood and clay. Then I developed an obsession and started investigating on the process of model kit production.

I remembered my experience in the factory where they used silicone molds and plaster. I remembered many tips & techniques, which I am greatful for today.

I've made many sculptures an developed many 3D projects; the most recent was an institutional project developed in 1998 by the Caracas Museum of Natural Science and consisted in replicating the most characteristic fish in the Orinoco River. But my real passion is for fantasy art and science fiction. As an illustrator I've always felt attracted to that particulars part of design and that is why my recent work is conceptually based on those themes.

Like most I'm influenced by illustrators such Frank Frazetta, Boris Vallejo, Julie Bell, Simon Bisley, Jeff Easley, Clyde Caldwell, Brom and Moebious. As a sculptor I admire and respect many who have without doubt influenced my work such Randy Bown, Clayburn Moore, Mike James and Marcus Deleo.

I had the great opportunity to meet some of them in person and by mail.

I'm proud to be an Illustrator and I'm greatful to the people that have helped me through out my career and those who enjoy and appreciate my work.
